Talking Is Often Underated But Is A Very Precious Gift

I often get my ideas of writing a blog from people around me . Some discussions, talks , quotes or even a gesture inspires me to write and share my opinions and feelings with the world. This time the inspiration came from a casual talk that I was having with my colleagues at a coffee shop in Eagan, and the topic was " How much and what do grown ups really talk to their FOLKS  { Parents } .

As soon as we get a job and a career of our choice ,we tend to move away from our parents. Talking gets reduced to " Had food?", "Have send money to you will get credited by tomorrow", "Do you Need more money ?" , "I am fine too " , "Can't come home this time", "Busy with work, call you later".

Sometimes, even this is reduced to a text " Money sent" or "I am fine, call you later".

Siblings are even more forgotten and are remembered either at a family function or some festivals . Under Normal scenarios we take one good forward message and send it across to all our family members and friends to wish them on any festive occasions and feel content that wow!! I have done my part and feel "how social I am ". Facebook, twitter and all other social media platforms are flooded with all sorts of messages to wish everyone globally { how seriously we have taken the global village concept "Vasudev Kutumbakam" }, but have we ever  given it a thought to take some time and talk to our neighbor, next door and wish him.{ kyu bhai sharma ji kaise hai }.

Sometimes it is really hard to believe that we have actually come to an era where we see people active on all social media platforms having 1000+ followers or friends but finds it very difficult to make a conversation while sitting  face to face. Digitalization has taken our lives by storm and has simplified our life  a lot {agreed} but why are we indulging into digitalization so much that we are loosing our basic human characteristics itself ? We are turning into Robots so after ICE AGE and Human Age next we are heading towards ROBOT AGE ?

When was the last time we had a heartfelt conversation with our beloved ones ? Probably in a black and white age.. {sad}
If we actually create a graph to come up with a ratio of time we spend on electronic gadgets (including time on social media) Vs time spend with our family , the graph would somewhat look like this : { for economics lovers...}

 We are living in a world where we are more concerned about how many likes we receive on our profile pic and what  others comment about us ? rather than showing gratitude towards the most important people in our life, who literally give up everything for us and we  just take them for granted.

In a world of heavy competition, spending quality time with family, friends gives ultimate solace and could be equated to any type of meditation or yoga.

Hello .. what are you waiting for ??

I have already started packing my bags up to go and meet my family and have a blast with them leaving this virtual world...

"The real world is always more beautiful and warm than the virtual world ".
